The time has come, when we start actually respecting the most noble service of them all — a service which lays the basic foundation, to enable each and everyone of us to be able to pursue our journey, towards our calling, through our KARMA.And that noble service, is performed selflessly, in the most sincerest and kind way, by a TEACHER.KARMA, popularly “Labeled” good/bad, is instead, meant to be the GRIT within EACH ONE OF US; OUR will & desire to do anything WE do to the best of OUR ability. While we all jump with all four feet at any and all opportunity to wish our teachers a Happy Teachers day, each year on 09/05, however, unfortunately we forget that all the very next moment we hit the ‘Post’ or ‘Like’ button.Rarely it is seen that teachers are even given their due respect, for the incredible effort they INVEST towards a ‘MANDATORY’ first step, which lays the foundation stone, and mind it, a MANDATORY one, towards a noble cause, that of raising a Noble Human Being. While we all tell (and UNFORTUNATELY, rarely ask) our kids to aspire to be an engineer, a doctor, a pilot, an IPS, an IAS or immense number of career choices one can imagine, kids are rarely given a menu to chose, which does not even have A Teacher listed as a choice.So, it is out of scope - if during their upbringing, kids are not even exposed to this possibility of being a Teacher, setting a NORMAL for them, how can we then expect them to grow up and aspire to be one, and to the very least, RESPECT one.It is high time, we, as a society bring a radical change in our education system, not at city, state or national level, but across the Globe.I am aware of one such organization which is doing incredible work towards this cause, Sampark Foundation lead by none other than Shri Vineet Nayar Ji. And I would request, starting with our NATION, The GOI lead by Shri Narendra Modi Ji and his team of Cabinet Minsters, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Ji (Minister of Education Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) and Smt. Smriti Irani Ji (Minister of Women and Child Development) to join hands towards this change. What's special about your university? Friends of mine based out of North East region usually ask this question as I relocated to Aligarh form Assam for the sake of pursuing graduation from a well reputed Central University named 'Aligarh Muslim University'. Well, I have a detailed response in this regard. 1) This university stands among top 10 central universities with NAAC grade as A+2) AMU offers more than 300 courses on traditional and modern education. 3) AMU has its three branches all over India. These are in Murshidaabad (WB), Mallapurum (Kerala), Kishanganj (Bihar) 4) There's no admission on the basis of merit. One has to clear entrance examination of respective course, no matter whether he has pursued previous course from AMU itself. 5) Talking about famous and successful Alumni, the list will not end. They include Sahib Singh verma (former CM of Delhi), Zakir Hussain (former president of India), Khan Abdul Guffar Khan (freedom fighter), Javed Akhtar, Nasir Uddin Shah, Dhayan Chand and many more. 6) AMU is well known for its Tradition. Everyone in this university maintains the tradition of it voluntarily. 'Akhlaaq reflects personality'. 7) Seniors are very helpful. Whatever problem you are facing, seniors are always there to help you without any consideration in return. 8) Residing in AMU campus costs very nominal. To be very honest, we need to pay only food expenses of ₹1700 per month. Rest expenses are of personal nature.These are some insights I thought to share with you.
